Mortgage Principal Calculator
Use this calculator to determine the future balance of your existing mortgage after a specified period of time.
The default entries provided in the calculator show a mortgage of $250,000 at a 4.75% rate of interest for 30 years. After 60 monthly payments (5 years) the remaining balance is $228,745.59; the total interest paid is $56,992.69; and the amount applied to principal is $21,254.41.
To use the calculator, enter the following information:
Loan information: Amount (of mortgage), Interest Rate and Length (in years).
Months Already Paid: number of Monthly Payments made.
The calculator will compute the following information:
