1. You write to your bank asking for all the money to be repaid (the amount you'll get from your previous bank statements*) within 14 days otherwise you'll be taking them to court
2. The bank will write back trying to fob you off
3. You write again saying you don't accept what they say but will give them another 7 days to repay the amount owed otherwise it will be court and they'll have no further warnings
4. Don't make threats without being willing to carry them - so after 7 days sue them
5. Only then will the bank start to take your claim seriously

If you are not willing to take your bank to court then the advice is simple - either forget about it or employ one of the bank charge reclaim companies who charge between 20%-40% of the reclaimed amount using a no-win no-fee basis. * If you don't have copies of your previous statements the websites above will show you how to get hold of them for a maximum charge of £10 (this money is paid to your bank).
